Affected by strong rainfall, most molybdenum mills from Henan province have stopped production. Tight market supply may lead to rising price of molybdenum.
It is said that China Molybdenum Co., Ltd. and Jinduicheng Molybdenum Group Co.,Ltd. (JDCMMC) have stopped production after strong rainfall. It is hard to say when the production will be resumed.
A trader said that many suppliers’ prices were either lifted up or not given out.
At present, ferromolybdenum prices rise to RMB134,000-140,000/mt from previous RMB126,000-130,000/mt, and molybdenum concentrate prices up to RMB1,950-1,980/mtu from previous RMB1,900-1,950/mtu. |
