| China’s Yield of Tungsten Concentrate Up 1.94% in 1H 2010 |

According to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), China produced tungsten concentrate 13,568 tonnes in the sixth month of this year, up 27.24% month on month. Among five main production areas, the output of Jiangxi increased obviously to 5,924 tonnes, rose 48% month on month. Outputs in Hunan, Guangxi and Henan were same as last month, not remarkable change. There was a remarkable increase in Yunnan province, the output up to 1,124 tonnes, up 38.4% over the same period of last month.
The total output of tungsten concentrate reached to 50,295 tonnes in the first six months of this year. Amount to up 1.94% year on year. Jiangxi produced 20,075 tonnes, decreased 10.10% year on year, Hunan produced 12,717 tonnes, declined 15.41% year on year, Henan produced 5,288 tonnes, rose 27.18% year on year, Guangxi produced 5,235 tonnes, up 65.88% year on year, and Yunnan produced 2,495 tonnes, up 111.80% year on year.
Normally, supply for tungsten concentrate was steady in the first half of this year. |
