| Copper, nickel rise on fresh buying, global cues |

Copper and nickel prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the local non-ferrous metal market today on emergence of buying, driven by a firming trend at the London Metal Exchange.
Trading sentiment turned better after copper climbed in London as China's pledge to maintain policy stability improved investors' risk appetite for raw material investment.
Meanwhile, copper for three-month delivery jumped by 1.1 per cent to $7,133.25 and nickel by 0.8 per cent to $20,705 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were up by Rs 2 each to 368, Rs 387 and Rs 346, while nickel (4x4) gained Rs 5 to Rs 882-996 per kg.
