| The Prices Of Ferrovanadium Decreased In China |

China’s ferrovanadium prices decreased this week. The mainstream prices for ferrovanadium (50#) and V2O5 were respectively at about RMB101,000-104,000/mt (USD29.58-30.45/kg) and RMB93,000-96,000/mt (USD13.89-14.64/kg).
Ferrovanadium market kept slim recently. Some big ferrovanadium factories quoted prices at about RMB102,000/mt (USD29.86/kg). There were quite a few purchasing from steel mills in the market. Some ferrovanadium producers even reported that they would like to made sales at the price of RMB99,000/mt (USD28.99/kg).
V2O5 prices slipped due to poor demand from ferrovanadium producers. The mainstream prices for V2O5 were at RMB95,000-98,000/mt (USD14.19-14.64/kg). Some traders made sales at lower prices or stopped purchasing. And some producers which got heavy inventory chose to stop production at sight.
Ferrovanadium prices drifted down to USD32-33/kg in European market and USD15.8-16.3/lb in US market.
China’s ferrovanadium (80#) export prices were at about USD31-32/kg, which hold the line with international ferrovanadium prices. And prices for ferrovanadium (80#) were at about RMB170,000/mt (USD31.11/kg) in China market.
Baosteel Group decreased prices for steel products in July. Most insiders believe that steel market is not likely to rebound before June. Most participators believe that ferrovanadium market will still be sluggish in June due to poor demand. |
