| The Prices Of FeV Weaken |
|
| Code:MFN001929 Prpduct:Ferro Vanadium Date: 2010-06-01 |
Ferrovanadium prices were weaker in the US and Europe. A US consumer purchased nearby material at slightly below $16 per lb and at slightly above $16. European sales were reported at below $33 per kg. Traders said that they could buy at $32 per kg. Contract customers continue to take regular quantities and traders are not holding large quantities.
However, general nervousness and summer slowdowns are being felt worldwide. Some cheap Chinese FeV reportedly has become available in Europe, but most market sources believe that FeV will be snatched up quickly by buyers. If the Chinese continue to export, however, prices will fall further, sources said. Prices still are at a considerable premium to production costs, one trader noted. |
